The antioxidant 168 is a low volatility organic phosphite, particularly resistant to hydrolysis. It protects easily oxidized polymers from changes in molecular weight (eg, strand breaks / crosslinks) in the processing steps (compounding / granulation, manufacture and recycling) and prevents discoloration.
